Vienna Cafe - Research - Modern Antiquity

Since i looked at work of well known artist of the time (late 19th century), i today began looking into the works of modern designers (works inspired by 19th century) to see how they produce similarities and yet still keep their design looking modern, in order to give me some ideas of how to recreate a similar appearance.

These are but a few pieces of work which inspired me (found on blogs such designspiration.com and ffffound.com), a few things i want to take away from looking at these pieces is the decorative flourishes and details which could surround/ be apart of the logo and the branding. Another trend i've noticed is that the designers are producing old style design but using more current colour palettes, which again i could use to give my design the modern feel which i want.
