Digital skills - Colour Blending

Last week we taught how to use change the tonality of different images however, this week we've been taught how to use the colour blending options in photoshop.

As you can see i started my duplicating the layer as not to damage the original image, then on a layer above, i added created a gradient using the gradient tool found on the toolbar on the left of the screen.

Then with the blending options (found on the layers panel) selected the multiply option to produce the effect you see on the bottom image.
