Aaron Draplin

Looking through a few design blogs, I found out about a few bits of his work and I did a bit of research  into him as a designer and I found he does talks, which some where recorded and posted on youtube. This video contains swearing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3RnDD4kETI .
The reason I posted this video is that I would like to have the same sort of role/job as him later in life.

I also like his style of work, very simple and old school.

Digital skills - Walls ad

With this weeks digital skills we have to combine the typography effects, like in the previous post, as well the use of the path finder tool to produce shapes etc. the steps are bellow.

This weeks digital skills was different than the previous weeks because instead of producing a final outcome, we were instead applying different effects and techniques to type in the Adobe Illustrator programme, as you can see bellow we are using option and techniques such as warp, envelope distort, type on a path and 3d.

Digital Skills - Adidas Ad

As you have seen/read in my previous digital skill we are taken through a tutorial and we are then given an outcome to try to reach and this week is just that but this weeks tutorial was about clipping masks and gradients within the photoshop programme, the sort of step by step can be seen bellow.

 As you can see the idea was to produce a collage of different athletes with the imported image just looking glued on and this is resolved through the use of clipping masks and gradients as well as changes in opacity.
