Cafe Vienna - Borders and menu

With the obvious need for a menu, i thought i'd need to make it just as decorative as the logo without being to cluttering so i thought my menu will need a decorative border and so i've been looking into some borders on design inspiration and these are a few pieces i like.

I'm thinking i may have to recycle the use of the border of the National Geographic magazine it's perfectly time relevant and works as partition for the logo and the actually body of the menu/print add.

Purchased a Macbook Pro 13' !

After months of saving i have finally bought a Macbook Pro, although this has no bearing on my progression in terms of learnt skill, it does however impact on the output of work i can produce. Before i bought my mac i was using a share home laptop with Adobe Illustrator CS3 programme installed, although i had equipment, it wasn't just mine so i couldn't truly focus upon my work.

Now i have my very own Mac, with the soul purpose of graphics with both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CS6 installed on it, i hope this will be one more step in the direction of becoming a full time professional designer.
