Reluctant Hero - Week 9

Since we had helped shift all the stuff from the basement last week, we were just working out of the studio for the week, me and Michael were researching for the Flamingoland brief. The brief was to produce 80's theme park/zoo styled illustrations for each main ride, so we composed mood boards and initial ideas together in mood boards which were then sent to an out of studio illustrator named Tom ( i didn't catch his second name).

This week me and Michael started thinking about plans for next year and after we finished our second year, we also seeked advice from Lee who encouraged us to build a strong online presence and a strong portfolio, Lee also told us how to deal with clients in terms of presenting and pay (he told us to always clearly state our intentions of our work and how we intend to get payed in either emails, or through invoices).

Reluctant Hero - Week 8

We continued to do pretty much as we did last week but this time we were helping Lee and Marc shift some of the work and loose pieces they didn't want in the basement to the skips but at the same time helping ourselves to a few bits and pieces of art from prefab77 etc.

Reluctant Hero - Week 7

This week me and Michael were more involved with Electrik Sheep shop floor and stock, as we learnt that the Marc Lee and Peter were splitting the companies, due to Peter being offered a new position as a creative director for a company down London. During the course of this week me and Michael must have spent three days at least counting the stock/logging the stock as well as putting up sale signs and helping customers.
The rest of the week me and Michael helped Lee with the Barbour Jacket brief, me and Michael began researching for a new Hilfiger brief too, the brief was about producing preppy/geeky (i.e. Library books and doodles) illustrations/ ideas for illustrations to be applied to women's T shirts. Michael had the idea of illustrating neatly laid out bag contents, I was tasked with producing a binoculars illustration.
